Ahmet Öğüt

Ahmet Öğüt (b. 1981, Diyarbakır) is a conceptual artist living and working in Amsterdam and Berlin. He works with a broad range of media including video, photography, installation, drawing and printed media. In 2009, he represented Turkey in the Pavilion of Turkey at the 53rd International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennial. Öğüt participated in the two-year residency program at Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam in 2007-2008, and also at the Artspace Visual Arts Center in Sydney, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive BAM/PFA’s MATRIX Program. His works have been included in many group exhibitions such as Performa 09, 3rd Visual Art and Performance Biennial, Kunsthalle Basel, 5th Berlin Biennial and 9th International Istanbul Biennial.
