Alessandra d'Urso
“For me, photography is a way to understand and accept the world. It's a constant research of truth.” Born in Milan and based in Paris, Alessandra D’Urso is a photographer whose work focuses on the substance of the image. Working primarily in black and white, D’Urso focuses mainly on light, shadow, and texture, elements that are fundamental to her approach to the truth of her work. Throughout her career she has produced work that focuses on social issues for publications worldwide. Her work has appeared in Vogue Paris, Vanity fair, and L’Officiel Paris among other prominent publications. Some of her commercial clients include Louis Vuitton, Inès de la Fressange, Ray Ban, and Each x Other. Most recently, D’Urso created an artistic reportage of the Jubilee of Mercy entitled “Jubileum” in 2017.
